Automatic questions

Swapping to an Automatic (Big Block C6) for my truck.

The steering column linkage seems to be specific to 1956, are the car and truck ones the same? They're hard to source but I have found one off a car.

Any issues hooking it up to a C6? Any safety issues, like popping into reverse?

Looking at a Lokar kit, but I seem to prefer the idea of a cleaner floor. Thought about a different steering column but at this point I'd source something used and am unsure what to go with as I don't want to have to deal with steering box just yet. Though a tilt would be nice, I would have to modify things to keep that original steering wheel, something from the '60s or '70s might be thin enough to keep the look. Lot of decisions with that, sorta why I was just thinking of getting the lever to just use my current one.

Thanks

Edit: Well, bought the one off a car, I'll post my findings when I get these parts all working together.
