I went on Ford's site and I think I figured out what he was doing wrong. It wouldn't let me configure it the way I wanted till I selected 4x4 then I could select the tire/wheel gear ratio combo I wanted.
thanks for the reply.
For the price I didn't care, more less wanted the skid plates for added protection and the box stickers. The Rancho shocks on my last SD were junk and replaced them with Bilstein 5100s. My truck is a tow rig and won't even see a dirt road so it was for show
Thanks for the reply. Mine will be for towing also and not an off road truck for the most part except maybe the occasional primitive camping.
I have read where others are not happy with the shocks that come with it.
Are they a bad ride or just not durable?
For me 3 out of the 4 shocks completely failed and the last one had next to no dampening left which was what the consensus was if you read all the complaints. They didn't like when I started hauling heavier loads with them and the ride was brutal. I will leave the stock ones on for the year with this truck and then swap them out over the winter when Bilstein 5100 start to become available. It's a cheap upgrade and they offer a major improvement, I also did the steering dampener on my last SD which was almost twice the size of the stock one
