I'm afraid V8s are not going to be seen in mid size and down vehicles much longer. The only ones left are the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Dodge Durango.

I'd really like to see an F150 based Bronco, but I'll at least give the smaller one a look. I already have an F150, so a smaller run around truck would be nice.
The problem though with the Colorado was the 5.3 V8 was introduced within 2 years of ending production. On top of that pricing was similar to a full size truck, which was the down fall of the Dakota, Colorado, and Ranger. I just really how they deep in an engine that'll heave pep to it and not feel underpowered.

I agree with you about the price being too high. The cost of vehicle has a lot do do with labor. In union shops, the labor is nearly the same for the smaller trucks. It would be nice if a 3/4 size truck was 3/4th the price of a full size.

Some Tacomas cost more than Tundras. And remember how crazy high an Explorer Sport Trac was? Especially with a 4.6 and 4x4. No wonder they sold poorly. A 4.6 4x4 F150 was significantly less expensive.

Kinda like buying shoes. Size 7 or 14 are both the same price.

I'd like to see the 5.0, and definitely the 3.2 or 3.0 powerstroke. Id would be pretty sweet to have the 6.7, but I know that's not going to happen. My 7.3 will have to do!

Since the frame is built off the everest platform, I would love to see the six speed manual transmission as an option too (I know this thread isn't about transmissions but it would be nice!)

6.7 Powerstroke or the 6.2 V8 and a 5.0 at minimum, nothing less, and definitely not an Ecodump.

Package options

I would like to see a model with a much larger towing capability. Vinyl seats vinyl floor covering wash out ability, V 8 or diesel engine. AC nice stereo.as a base model. Options beyond this.

Ford wasn't listening to most of us. As much I want (ed) one, it'll never happen because I refuse to pay the bloated price tag for a toy.

They over hyped and under delivered. The rumors swirled for so long that I finally have up waiting and bought a 2 door Wrangler in 2020. Then, years after Ford announced that the Bronco was going to be built, they finally started trickling out. Dealers jacked the prices outrageously for over a year, QC issues aplenty, none in stock anywhere, etc.

So, if I held out for one I would just be able to get one about now. But wait, they canceled the only one I would want, the base model with steel wheels. So, I’ll just keep my Wrangler. And don’t talk about Jeep quality, look at Ford in the last 5-6 years.
