New brake rotors for early '99

I've got an early '99 F350. Door frame says "11/98".
I'm looking at getting a set of Power Stop AR8571XPR and AR8580XPR rotors to replace my stock ones. However, the description for the rear rotors says they fit trucks made on or after 3/1/99. Has anyone run into this? Is it just the rears that are different between early and late '99s? Thanks in advance...

I got Powerstop rotors and calipers for my e99 a few years ago. I forget what all the differences are between the early and late trucks, but one was the mounting of the rear calipers. We have the same caliper on both sides, one side is mounted forward of the rotor, the other following it. Call the guys at Powerstop, they're great, know their stuff, and were very helpful with me. They warrantied a rear rotor that was damaged by my faulty caliper, but possibly because I was then replacing both rears with a set of rebuilts from them. I have their stuff on all four corners, and I'm really happy. I only have regular duty stuff, as I don't tow big honking trailers like some of these other folks on here.

The E99 has a different flange thickness. I believe 10 MM vs the later 13MM.

Wrong rotor will have you dragging the brakes.

About ten years ago I swapped calipers and rotors for MY 2000. I did it in case I was out on the road away from home and needed to replace stuff quickly. E99 stuff will never be readily available like 2000 stuff is.

Just got an email from Eric at PowerStop. He indicated that the rear rotors are the same for early and late 1999 trucks, however front rotors differ. According to him, the correct front rotors for a 1999 F350 4WD SRW dated 11/1998 are AR8567XPR and correct rears are AR8571XPR. I'll report back on how this goes after the swap.

Change to the late rotors. They are cheaper and you will find parts easier. Same with calipers, they just bolt up. I changed mine years back.
