Hey guys, I don't have my 5th wheel accessible at the moment, but want to get my new Curt Q24 hitch put together and mounted in my box, so I don't have to keep tripping over it. Can anyone tell me where they set theirs to? I was thinking of making it as high as it can go (17") just to be safe initially. But thought I would check with you guys as well.
I have 3 possible settings. !3", 15", 17" Where do you guys have yours set?
Mine came today, Q25(rated at 24K), but haven't got to install. Planning on doing the highest setting initially and go from there. Will post back when I get it in.
I have mine (Q25) on the lowest setting. You can't go by what anyone else has though. All 5ver heights and pinbox setups are all different. The only way to know what works for you is to use your trailer to set it up.
I ended up assembling it at the highest setting. I figure I can at least be confident that i can go get my trailer out of storage when the time comes. If its too high, I can lower it later. (better than getting there and it being too low)
