Ordered F250 CC 4x4 on 4/24
In order Processing: 4/27
VIN # on 4/27
Window sticker: N/A
Build date: 5/24
Estimated Delivery: 6/10
7 weeks if delivered on time
Wow, ordered 4-21 and no Vin yet. In processing is what Ford chat says. Also an F250 4x4 Lariat.
Good luck.
I first went into the dealer on 4-28 and gave my salesman my build sheet. There was some kind of miscommunication between him the general manager and the third part company that they have do the ordering. Went back last Friday 5-5 and got everything squared away and order placed.
Recvd order# 5/8 and Ford Chat says in processing. Does not show up in COTUS.

Is yours a 350? I find my 350 in ETIS, but not in cotus - every post I have seen where they see it in cotus, it's a 250...
My scheduled build week is 5/29, maybe yours will be as well!
No Sir. Mine is 250 ultimate lariat. Is the only way to get the VIN is through the dealership? My fear is that because my order was placed by a 3rd party company that even after a VIN is created it won't be communicated. This is starting to suck more than just having to deal with the wait.

Since you have the order number and dealer code you can chat on the ford site and possibly pull it up in ETIS...
Yeah, the wait sucks, but even more so if you have NO status at all...
Ordered 3/20 Built 4/24 Received 5/8
F350 Crew Cab Long Bed 6.2L Lariat

Mines exactly this. Order placed 3/20, and recieved 5/8. F-350 CCLB Lariat that never showed up on COTUS.
Does anyone know what the actual difference is between COTUS and ETIS. I have heard people saying that a lot of the 350's don't show up in COTUS but will in ETIS. Some people are the other way around and some people's info doesn't show up in either. I ask as I checked my order number this morning in COTUS and it showed up with a VIN# and no ETA. Ford chat had no ETA and the VIN doesn't show up in ETIS. Just curious as to what the difference in the two sites are and how they are used by Ford.

Yes, I do, lol...
COTUS = Ford's Custom Order Tracking Update System
ETIS = Ford's European Technical Information and Services
Cotus is relatively new, and some feel it is still in Beta (meaning limited release/data and still testing it). I have personally run a couple dozen vehicles through it for tracking for other members here as well as when I was trying to see how it worked. You can get lots of Ford vehicles like most Mustang models (not all), but we are talking trucks here. My personal experience is that it doesn't have all super duties, every F250 I threw at it had an entry, most (just because I cannot recall all of them, and only started tracking based on model after finding this out) f350's didn't have an entry, and NO F450s have ever showed up on COTUS.
ETIS is where european Ford techs go for info, some of it is open to the public and some is not, I created an account on there so that it kept track of my recent VIN searches (because I help the guys out on here) and it has FULL true build details for all Ford vehicles after the vehicle is built. Anything in ETIS prior to the actual build of a vehicle is a placeholder based on generic VIN data.
Yes sir. That actually helps out quite a bit. Seems like COTUS is where to go if you've ordered a 250 but ETIS will be more accurate but only after the vehicle is built, even if it does show up before the actual build.
Again, John, thank you sir. This was a great help.
