Key fob remote start sucks

anyone else having trouble with the remote start on the key fob? I've got a 2017 250 plat 4x4 my remote start only works when I'm near the truck it seems and even then I get the red light indicator fairly often.

I'm having the opposite experience. It has about 3-4x the range of my '14 one

I'm impressed with mine. Range is really strong through house walls and up to about 75'. Can start the truck from my office on the 3rd floor of our building.

I remote start mine about 80% of the time. I haven't had it fail once. I haven't tried for long distance starts though.

Interesting am I doing something wrong? Press twice release correct?

Press LOCK once, then press START twice. Three clicks total.
Agree with the others. Long range, no issues.

^^^ What he said. My key fob came with an instruction card attached. I had it figured out before the salesman could tell me how to do it.

Mine works but it almost always sends three red flashes even when the truck starts. I thought the red flashes meant it failed. Hard to tell if it starts unless you're close enough or look out the window

youd be abled to start it from MILES away w/ the add-on perimeter alarm and remote access modules via your cell phone.

Mine works much better than my 2013. I was staying on the 3rd floor of a motel and at least 200' from my truck. I was able to start it from my room.

I should be picking up my 17' F-350 in a few weeks, and I'm absolutely ecstatic about it. The two things I'm going to miss coming from Chevy though are the lack of Wifi and having to add another expensive feature to be able to start the Ford with my phone. My remote starts on both my Chevys work from a 100 yds out easily, and I can start it from my phone regardless of where I am. Still can't wait to get the F-350 though haha
