hey I'm new to the site but I wondering if anyone could possibly give me some info on what to check. My 97 f350 7.3 is acting up. I started it the other day and went to put it in drive and the engine died. I looked through about 10 different sites and some are talking about the TCC. The engine will only die when shifting to drive, not reverse. The trans fluid is full. I unplugged the solenoid pack yesterday and the connector looks good. The truck hasn't die since I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Engine rpms drop down every once in a while when I'm shifting from park or when I'm coming to a stop. I was thinking that maybe that was helping cause the engine to die. Any help is very appreciated.
I checked it after i got back from where I was going and the level is where it should be. It shifts hard more often now. I have the CEL on but I don't have anything to pull codes with.
Hey Mark, my buddy has a E4OD with transfer case out of his 95 Ford. Would that work on my year. If so is there anything I'd have to change or modify? Thanks.

Had a guy come a scan my truck but the forscan won't connect to show DTC. The truck is now dying when I put it in reverse also. It's done it about twice now.
