96 Explorer rear axle help

I am upgrading my 56 F-100 and have found a 96 Explorer limited slip "Control Trac" rearend. My question is how does Control Trac affect the rearend and can I install this rearend only using the limited slip?

Control Trac is the 4x4 system. Eye-glazing details here:

Neither Control Trac nor ABS, other than tone rings if any, will cause you any issues with that differential.

If that axle has an electrical plug, it would be for ABS and maybe VSS. There would be nothing to plug into on the '56, so you can remove the wires and tidy things up.
