Most places will go up to a year now Dave. I'm sure they can at least provide info at this point though. It's amazing how far you need to book ahead these days. The industry is booming and campgrounds are hot too...

We finally got measureable rainfall this past Monday for the first time in 6 weeks. Not quite as dry as Don's place, but getting close!

 

That works for sure Roy. I know of a few members would would like to do the NP's in 2019.

So, Mammoth Jellystone still hasn't bothered to respond to my email. I can't understand some places? I guess I'll give them a call next week...

 

OK, just got off the phone with the Jellystone in Mammoth Cave. I spoke with Lisa the manager. We can book our sites exactly 1 year out. So, we need to pick our week soon. The two options are June 24th or July 8th. If we get 10-19 staying, we get a 10% group discount. Military get's a 15% discount. (They can't be combined.) I'm thinking the end of June is the better week but I'll go with the majority. Votes???

Yes, once we decide on the date, she will block off sites under my name. Then the group has 5 days or so to book it under their own name. Can't do that until the week of the 24th though.

 

Sadly, this topic came up around the campfire last evening with my wife. She reminded me that since next year is our 25th anniversary, that we need to go to an all-inclusive resort mid-winter probably in Jamaica. We last went on our 20th. So, I guess I am out.

I think I need to pull a Steve & Roy, so that I have a week of Saturday's + a Sunday. This work thing, is just getting in the way. Too bad I have probably another 8-10 years before I can even think about retiring.

Sooo.............. Tonight while having dinner with my parents we were talking about Maine. And out west. I commented that for the foreseeable future we are stuck east of the Mississippi. My mom noted that Mammoth cave is east of the Mississippi river. While burning through facebook tonight i see rv camping posted something about Mammoth. A sign? LOL. Sadly I can't book until we know how Maine goes with the little monster. He did well going to Ocean City, hoping the same for Maine! And that coupled with a good time would really help to leverage this one!
