Have a 2017 F-350 CCSB 6.7 and just love the truck.
I cant get over how smooth the idle is. Much smoother than my 2015 6.7
How do they get a diesel to idle like that. I also notice the u-joints on the Dana 60 are larger than the ones on my 15.
I don't believe there is any difference in how smooth these trucks are at idle. I had two 2016 models and now my 2017...they all idled incredibly smoothly. There is very little difference between 2015 and 2017 diesel engines.
As for upgraded axle u-joints on the front, what makes you so sure? I think they are exactly the same. But I could be wrong.
I've had an '11 and '14 and I think the '17 is definitely smoother and quieter. A buddy of mine with a GMC Denali 3500 can't get over how much quieter the 6.7L is than his truck.
Good to hear Epic. With everyone posting how quiet the 17 was compared to previous ones, I thought I was the only one that had a little more diesel(ish) sound coming from under the hood. Made me think mine was going to blow up...
