While traveling this past weekend in my motor home (2001 F-53, V-10, E4OD) the speedometer quit working. It dropped out all of a sudden then would pop in and out over a few minutes, then nothing at all. I went on to my destination, another 80 miles, then returned home today 180 miles. The transmission works, although seems to be in a limp home mode. I am also getting a check engine light (steady) and flashing transmission OD light when transmission initiates it's first shift.
At first I thougt it was the speed sensor. Pulled the sensor which was clean (no junk on magnets) and tested with multimeter. Seems to be working just fine. How is this then wired into the PCM and the speedometer. Where might I look?
