hello all I actually am planning a f250 purchase but was told that the twin panel moonroof is a new option for the f250 2017. So I was going to ask that since it's been on the f150 for a while now is there a lot of problems ? Such as leaking, regrets etc. I'm looking for good feed back so I can decide if I want the moonroof or not.
There's a couple folks here have reported issues, there's a thread on it around here someplace. I have the Pano roof in mine, just over a year old and no issues whatsoever, I like it but like everything else, it's really subjective, personal preference, whatever. Things can go hay wire with anything, luckily enough, mines been solid.
I was happy to find a Lariat without the sunroof when I bought my truck last year. The reasons I didn't want a single roof is because I would never use it, and I didn't want to deal with potential leaks and other problems. I've known quite a few people over the years who have had leaks with their sunroof.
205 F150 Lariat, This is my (our) third vehicle with a sunroof, not counting 3 convertibles.
I haven't had a problem on any of them. I wouldn't have bought it on this truck but my wife wanted it. I do enjoy it on occasion.
I have it on mine and I love it but Ford did replace the track on it already. Other than that, its quiet and doesn't leak. Was kinda cool watching the lighting through it while it stormed here yesterday.
I have a 2016 KR with the twin panel moon roof and love it. No issues whatsoever, and I use it all the time. Moon roof open and rear slider open creates a nice mellow flow through of fresh air and not nearly as noisy, or wind buffeting as driving with the windows down. I live in SoCal and can't imagine not having a sun/moon roof....
