05-07 emblems on a 2004
About two years ago the the passenger f350 emblem started to peel, the chrome was coming over the plastic in big flakes. At the time I didn't want to spent 40plus dollars on a emblem so I had black plasti dip so I did the emblems on the truck. It looks good but I'm not into the blacked out theme I LIKE CHROME. So I got the big to fix the emblems, 99-04 are just to plain and the 05-07 are nice and shiny. Searched Google and I see both emblems have alignment tabs
SO
do the 05-07 emblems line up with the holes in the fenders for the 99-04 trucks? I would think so since they are both the same cab and fender?
2nd question will the 05-07 cover the old emblem spot? Meaning the trucks a 04 and I know that with all the cleaning and waxing I'm sure when I remove the stock 04 emblem your gonna see a difference in the clearcoat so I want the 05 up emblem to be larger to cover the stock 04 one? I tried to Google it bit I can't find dimensions
PLUS the 05-07 emblems are 10 to 15 dollars cheaper go figure
