Project reincarnation.
Little back story 6 years ago I rolled a 96 single cab short bed F150, 4 years ago I bought a running driving 92 single cab long bed with 4" lift minus the bed and rear bumper. And that's basically as far as it got until a couple weeks back my wife made the comment she wanted to start racing.
So I started tear down on the 92 last weekend, only thing left now is to pull the rear axle and lift. Plan to start some minor paint on it then instal the lift on the 96 and start the process of putting it back together.
Drive train will be the 300 out of the 96 carb swap and rockers from a chevy 292 powered by a old Crane cams ignition box I have laying around. Plan to put a C6 with a shift kit and a 208, axles will be stock 8.8/TTB 44 until i locate a solid 44 for a decent price. Truck will be on 35" super swampers.
Here are some pics of the 2 trucks, and the rest down so far on the 92.
Hate to tell you this but the stock fuel injection is day and night better than a single carb setup for fuel distribution.
Anyway, it's your ride, do what you know with carbs if you're not good with EFI.

engine stripped, degreased, and painted. Ready for the tweaks and to be put back together.
I've got the drop brackets installed on the 96 frame for the 4" lift, took some time to clean up and paint the coils.
Hope to have that buttoned up over the weekend and pull the rear end out to lock it, and install the rear lift springs.

Ordered a set of 5" deaver coils for the SAS then started bolting the 44 under it short of steering/trac bar until I have ride height figures out.
So then I bolted the engine in the frame so I could get the transmission cross member moves to where it needed to befor the C6.
Then got the VB out of the C6 and a transgo kit in it.
So today I got the transmission bolted in and to hooked to the engine today.
Tomorrow I plan the get the Spool bolted into the 9" and hope to try and set the cab back on it tomorrow if I can get a few hands over here.
here are some updated pics.
I ended up doing a SAS in the truck so it is now setting on a 9" and solid dana 44.
