Hello there, YES it looks like you have a leak somewhere, have it inspected, I think they charge somewhere around $35.00 for inspection.

If you have to replace any major parts (compressor/dryer bottle) and you still have R12, you might want to consider converting to R134. The 134 is much cheaper and easier to purchase and get installed.

you can buy a leak checker from pep boys or auto zone and such t looks lke a syrnge with colored dye in it, put the dye in the system and turn it on...if theres a leak you wont miss it...as the colors are allmost bright enough to glow in the dark

well i just left auto zone, and there are like 5 to 6 cans if the leaker checkers and it doesnt really look like a syrnge they all have a clear little hose from the can to the end and at the end is a little black thing. some look differnet than others. but beats the heck outta me.
