Rear window gasket problem

Hey guys, I bought a rear window rubber gasket that goes around my rear slider window on my 79 F 250 from Bronco Graveyard. Is there a difference between the gasket for a slider vs a non slider. The 2 gaskets look very different as seen in the pictures. I didn't want the trim style anymore, as seen in the pics.

There are lots of links about the three different types of molding
Wo chrome trim
W wide trim
W thin trim

Did not realize before but some of the newer sliders that fit the older trucks also have a different trim width

I believe they are the same. You just have a newer one without the trim insert.

If you spread the lips apart, the groove should have a wide, flat bottom.

Yep, just went through this. The early slider windows can use the non slider seal the later windows are wider all around so their seal has a wider channel. Buy the seal for the year window not the truck. The opening is the same for 73-96 trucks I believe.. Got my window from a 94 and had to buy a seal for a 94 with sliding glass. Hope this helps..
