I got a 79 f150 4x4 w/ a 351 modified that has seen its day. Where can I get a rebuilt 351m for a good price.

What is a good price on a rebuilt?

Also could a junior mech with descent tools and a manual be able to do the rebuild himself?

If I was you I would be looking to put in a 400 instead..
It has a lot more torque and you can interchange most of the parts from the 351M.

Would a 400 bolt up the the same tranny? a C6 i believe...
Also what is a good price for a 400 rebuilt?
