So everything's been great. Tonight there was a very loud knock and a shaking on the truck. Pretty concerned about it. Not sure if anyone has had this happen to them before.
Hard to tell from the video. To me is sounds like a really bad exhaust leak near the manifolds, or your lifters are starving for oil kinda sound, it didn't come across as a rod knock to me, but it could be that's what it is. It actually reminds me of my bosses 04 Avalanche with the 5.7L, when he starts it, it has piston slap.
Maybe it has something to do with the valve tensioners I keep hearing about??

ya I'm not to sure. I'm wondering if it's having an oil sender problem. Truck hasn't overheated but when it did before it didn't physically overheat I don't think. It only happens about every 250 miles. And when I **** it down and turn it back on it's like it never happened.
