At one time our entire neighborhood was LEO of one type or another. My next door neighbor was a K9 officer in Burbank. One day I had a couple of guys working in the backyard so I put my Springers up. A few hours later I heard them screaming and running. Somehow the K9 from next door had gotten into my backyard and chased them out. My neighbor was not home so I left him locked in my yard until he got home. Boy that made for one nervous dog.
Does "the dog" live on a golf course, or is that your back yard? We have a German Shepherd and a Silver Lab, both pups (less than a year). This is the reason I had to buy a CC and not a SC, my wonderful wife wanted the doggies to have back windows that rolled down and not just swung out. SPOILED MUCH?
No we do not live on a golf course. That was our training field for Schutzhund.
It is a sport designed for the German Shepherd Dog. Tracking, protection and obedience.
He is older now and he cant scale the wall. He still likes the protection work. This photo is going after the guy on the sleeve. and a photo of our actual
back yard.
I totally get it, my two Maxx and Emma have a Superduty reserved for when they go with me. I don't know if I would be here today if it went for them. Used to have a crown Victoria from the CHP with the k9 cage in the back..now they ride in the back of the truck cab with the seats removed and a cage installed in the truck.
I always take the opportunity when I can to thank those in Law Enforcement and the associated professions for the service they provide. Within the walls of my home lives a family that appreciates the fact that you put on that uniform on our behalf each day.
Our system is not perfect but I have been in countries that lack law and order and that has made me appreciate even more how integral this is to the greatness of our nation.
Thank You
Dogs.
I can't resist the opportunity to show you Kasey our last Labrador. She was the last of our dogs (we travel too much to have one now) but the one we connected with the most for some reason. She was in no way LE trained but was injured on more than one occasion protecting our family and property. She was entertaining, energetic, and a wonderful companion. Regrettable it is that the years we get with our dogs are so few compared to our human companions.
About 10 years ago now I had to put her down. I have had hardship in my life but that day would hit the top 5 list for sure. We buried her in our pet graveyard out back of the house. She has a great view of all that goes on at our place from there. As long ago as that was I still tear up looking at these pictures.
My intention is not to put a damper on this thread involving dogs. Just the opposite really. The experience of having a faithful canine companion is one I would advise for anyone.
Just got CD title on our 2 year old Beauceron yesterday. Those burial pictures are hard to look at..... Number of those in our back yard. We travel with back seats up and a Carhartt canvas cover draped over them. It covers the floor also. Can also put a Kong bed pad on floor.
Something I came across with a google search. Airline approved and durable, ive got a friend who had this and was pretty happy, hope it'll fit, dimensions are 48" X 32" X 35" and good up from 90 to 155 pounds

Hey. its ok to deviate from trucks to show off our four legged friends, right? After all do dogs go with trucks or what? But include the names. Mine are Ranger and Gypsy
MC Greenmachine, that looks like a great pal for sure.
Duke and Bella look like a fun hand full.
Oh and Greenmachine, I have two crates like you posted and we can use then time to time, but I am hunting or building a fold down crate that will be the width of the back seat. The Owens site may be just the place to get the pre-made doors.
I am sure that my next doggie will also be attending Schuthund training so I am planning a true K9 crate

They are crazy dogs, they are actually ours sons dog, he is out of the Air Force so we are baby sitting them till he and his new wife get a place where they can have them, been a year so far. Funny thing is, for Labs they hate water. so bathing them is "fun". Also being raised in Wyoming and Alaska they are not very well leash trained, he was just able to take them to a field and let them run.
Because we are slightly moving to dogs, the chocolate lab is my grandson's diabetic alert dog, the yellow lab is my diabetic alert dog and the springer is a direct descendant of my original breeding pair from back in the 80's. My female (Sadie Scud) was one of only two females ever sold which were sired by Saighton Scud. I was surprised to find out how coveted Scud puppies still are.
As for LEO, my younges is a CHP officer, my middle son was a crash unit firefighter in the Air Force and then an LEO and now a commercial helicopter pilot. My oldest is the Brigadier Commander of the first ever Apache Unit stationed in Alaska. He has 24 Apaches and 16 Gray Eagles. Our family is all about the military and LEO.

A lab that hates water???? Labs don't need leash train, they just say "look at me"
