New steering wheel????

Anyone know what year steering wheels will fit my 2001 f250? Mine is worn slap out and I'm gonna have to get a new one, ford says discontinued for new stock, eBay doesn't have too much to choose from. Just curious as to what all years would be compatible

I went from the one who everybody chastised for my wheel, to the guy everybody points to when it comes wheel time. All it took was a sizable Buck$Zooka blast to change everybody's perspective - go figure.

Here's a [LINK] to where I got mine.

...aaaannnd here's the adventure: [LINK]

The links I posted above were from a quickie search, and not from the search results I found last summer. The prices I saw then were in the $250-$350 range for restored (re-skinned) OEM steering wheels and they looked exactly like OEM in their fit and finish... I just can;t find where I kept those links because I ended up getting my steering wheel "clean enough" for the vehicle to sell without it being a sore thumb.

Deeper and more patient searching may find better results. Then, too, Rich's link is right within what I was seeing last summer, too.

The company used by the OP in that older thread is one of the links I posted above (Dallas Custom Steering Wheel).

I found a Navigator steering wheel and repaired it. I sanded it down, primed it and painted it and here is the results.

All navigator wheels up to 2002 will work, all excursion steering wheels will work and Trucks from 99-07 should work.

Do you want a wheel with the additional buttons? I really love controlling my radio and Climate from the steering wheel.

I'm assuming you had to run that additional wiring to the head unit to control the extras?

I was lucky that my 2002 Ex had the wires already under the steering wheel and routed to the back of the stereo and climate control.

I have an aftermarket stereo so I had to add a device to allow steering wheel controls to manage the stereo and that can be wired directly.

Climate control can also be wired directly if the wire is not present. There is a thread out in the excursion forum that goes into detail about the different installs.

You will need a new clock spring to make the other control buttons work. I used the clock spring from the same navigator I got the steering wheel from.
