Clicking or tapping sound
I have an 08 f250 powerstroke and at idle it clicks or taps is this normal I know about the tsb but this seems to loud to be normal. The truck has no codes and only has 70k on it.

Where is the sound coming from under the hood? Can you tell? Near the intake?
I understand there can be a bit more of a pop to your idle coming back through the intake/filter...usually indicating an issue with rocker arms. You can find a video or two on Youtube of that popping sound related to rocker arms issues/failure. At least you could potentially eliminate rocker arms as your issue...or discover that they are the issue...Hey! Even better!...well...not good...but always good to know what's wrong.
