So i have a 93 5spd Ranger that had a blown 4.0 in it, I got the old engine out and picked up a 94 Ranger 4.0 that had a auto behind it..The pilot bearing hole on the old engine is .830 and the 4.0 auto is .725... What do i gotta do here to get the new engine to work?

 

Isn't the pilot bearing in the flywheel? Can you swap flywheels? Or maybe replace the pilot bearing itself?

Yup guess so...first ranger ive worked on..302's and f150s is normally my thing..i feel retarded haha

 

I've never done that kind of swap/repair before either, so I don't know for sure...that's why I responded with questions myself.
