I know this is a matter of personal preference. I'm looking at buying a new truck today. They are all the exact same 2017 Platinum. It will be parked outside a lot

1) metallic tricoat white with brown leather interior. My thoughts on this is it will be easier to keep clean. A lot of the chrome blends in to the white. I would probably keep it mostly monochromatic as far as black inserts on the super duty letters and platinum tailgate. (Too much black? I like the darker color body where the tailgate SD inserts are silver and the Plat is black). I'd consider painting the side emblems black to get them to stand out more. The brown interior doesn't go with the monochromatic theme). I like black wheels on the white truck due to more contrast. Would do black exhaust

2) ruby red with black interior. Is it too dark? Especially with black wheels? Maybe do chrome wheels? Too hard to keep clean? Chrome pops more. Easier to keep clean than black ? Black or chrome exhaust

3) black with black. Not a huge fan of the blackout look woukd probably do chrome wheels. Chrome exhaust

On all of them I plan to tint the windows, and do either a level kit or 4" lift. Will be a daily driver. Might do an aftermarket bumper (black or body painted). Might do fender flares. I figure with visible screws black on the white or red and chrome on a black truck.

You're right, it is a personal preference.

All 3 options you've described sound like good ones. I personally won't do black again (and I've said that after owning a black car and a Tuxedo Black Ford Raptor). I like white but it seems to be the most popular color (is white a color?) these days. We somehow have 3 white vehicles right now and our neighbors have a number of white cars and SUVs. It looks like a white vehicle convention.

I love the Ruby Red. On the Mustang. It's a great color! I've been against it on the truck because the truck is so large that it'll be a LOT of Ruby Red.

Just bought the white one.

 

Mine is a White Platinum. Easy to maintain and keep clean. Rockchips don't turn into white specs after polishing etc.

I don't like platinum white. Oxford yes!

If black wasn't a pain to maintain.....I would have gotten black. The platinums look so good in black. You can go either black wheels, polished, or black and polished. They all look really good.

Ruby red is a nice color and looks good on the platinums trucks as well. Plus you don't see a lot of them, so it's a nice change.

I got grey because I like grey, and it's not a pain to keep clean. Was the best option for me. My last 4 of 5 trucks have been grey. And the other white.

 

Personal preference of course, mine is white Platinum, black interior, I pesonally did not like the burgundy tint of the brunello interior.

 

Agreed! Got the white with brunello Saturday. This morning took it back and swapped it out for a white with black leather. They didn't give me any hassle, despite having to do a dealer trade for the white one. It wasn't far away, should be here Tuesday. I think my wife and I will like the black a lot better.

They didn't have a platinum one here to look at.

On 2017 Platinum SuperDuty with Black leather what color is the head liner? I liked that it was black with the bruenllo, and would prefer that over gray (what you usually see with Black leather), I looked at pics online but could not tell.

 

I'm pretty sure they are black also.

Here is my ruby red platinum with black interior . In my opinion it is the sharpest color combination.
