Transmission upgrade
Hello, I have a 1971 f250 with a 360 and 4 speed manual. I'm rebuilding the engine. I am wondering what manual transmissions will work with minimal adaptation. It has the t18 I believe and I am wanting something that is conducive to street driving and possible "street" racing. It's way to low geared for my liking. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to FTE armyguy. Gearing is dictated by rear end gears not the trans. I assume you don't want the granny gear first. There are many different possibilities. Tremek TKO500 will bolt right up to your bell housing. I don't think there are many other modern transmission that have bell housing as part of the trans that will bolt to an FE motor. The 3 speed 3.03 will also bolt to your bell housing.
