looking for a set of high end mud flaps for my 2010 f-450 dually.
I ordered the Gatorback mud flaps and ordered the Gatorback universal mounting brackets but no luck. the brackets are designed to mount to the body crease but need 3/4 of and inch crease to mount and the 2010 f-450 dually only has a 1/2 crease. so the center holes of the brackets basically hang on the edge of the crease. so this is not going to work. also, the gatorback brackets are mainly designed to hold the inside corner of the mud flap....and I deally ...you need to use self tapping screws into the body edge fold along the wheel well. yelp, you guessed it...the 2010 f-450 has a PCV body edge and its both not strong enough as well as not lining up correctly.
so basically, I need a 100% bracket based mounting system that goes directly into either the body, or the chasis.
The front ones are specific for the 2008-2010 F450, the rears are normal Ford dually. Mounting the front ones requires great patience and long needle nose pliers or the smallest vise grips you can find to hold their T bracket. They do a great job of keeping the sides of the truck clean.
I love the Duraflaps. Worth the money. Had them on my first truck and took them off after I wrecked it. Going to be putting them on my 2012 here shortly. Can't beat the looks and function

I cant wait to get my lifted style duraflaps! Should be here in the next couple days.
so I was going to return the gator mud flaps, but the reseller who sold them to me sent me a return label that said 50% restock fee if there is writing on the packaging and since they did not wrap the box, UPS wrote all over it. so rather than fight the 50% restock battle...decided to make some brackets and make these gator flaps work.
I used 1/16th of an inch diamon plate about 12" X 18" in size.
in the front, the plate went vertical hitting 2 edge body holes on one side and bolting to the frame crease on the other.
in the rear, the plate went hroizontal hitting the dullay egde holes, the oritginal srw body edge holes in the middle, and the corner of the flap was bolted to the inside corner of the diamond plate on the top, and on the bottom, using the oem bracket.
