Two holes in front cab mount


what is the inner hole used for. There is two on each side in the cab and two on each side on the frame

It's a 56 cab but a 55 frame so I will imagine they're all the same?

The hole in the floor is non-reinforced...a drain hole. Should be a rubber plug in it. Never gave the hole in the cab wing much thought although now that I look at it it does seem to align with the hole in the cab floor.
