I got one of these a couple of weeks before I got my new truck. Never used it on the old one but jumped the new one 5 times before I got to the dealer for a new battery. It took me longer to figure out how to open the hood than to start the truck. Also, I didn't pay anywhere near this price.
The pocket jump starters are handy. I haven't heard of folks burning through the batteries any quicker than on the old big clunky ones. I think they make a great buy.
Yup, I'm sold on these. I keep one in both my vehicles. The battery stays charged for a very long time. I still make a note in my calendar to charge them at least every six months, and usually top them off just before road trips.
They are especially handy when out in the boonies where you might not have another vehicle handy. That happened to me only once about 15 years ago. Back then I was carrying one of those ginormous charging stations/air compressors with me when I went on trips, but not when I was just tooling around locally.
The new ones are nice and compact, so easy to keep in the vehicle all the time, and quite powerful. One of mine was purchased for my old diesel F250. When the OEM batteries finally gave out and wouldn't turn it over in my garage, I used the jump starter just for kicks. Started it up no problem. Given that, it should have no problem with the bigger batteries used for auto stop/start in the Ecoboosts.

My battery was bad when I bought the truck new. I think it had about 400 miles on it. I'd had it a couple of weeks and things started failing on it one at a time till it wouldn't start.
