I'm looking to lift my 2013 F250 about 2" and add on some 35 inch tires and I saw a YouTube video of the installation of the ICON lift kit and thought that kit may be the one for me. Looking at the website of the people who made the YouTube video I found this other kit for about half the price. Is ICON significantly better than Rough Country and are the kits fairly priced for them being DIY lift kits? If anyone has any advice or suggestions about any other good 2 inch lift kits feel free to let me know, Thanks.

Check out zone off road sister company to BDS they have good quality lifts at a fair price. Icon is good but too much money. Rough country is low end. You get what you pay for in most cases. I wouldn't run rough country but I'm also off road quite a bit. My truck is stock height. You should be able to fit 35 stock
I would highly recommend the readylift kit. Even the 2.5" kit comes with a new trac bar drop bracket to keep the proper geometry. It is a spacer lift, so nothing will change about your ride. With stock springs, your gvwr can't be questioned either. It has shock extensions, so you use your factory shocks. Stock shocks aren't great, but don't expect much out of those rough country shocks either. You could always add quality shocks later. I just installed the 3.5" kit on my '16, and truck drives exactly like it did before the lift. The rear blocks have the proper taper and keep your bump stops functional. No block stacking.
I also forgot to mention, I don't do any serious off-roading, some fire roads in the mountains with some creek crossings is about it. If I was doing anything serious and was looking for a budget lift, I would do like fishbones said and look at zone. They have a real good 4" kit that runs @800.

Are the add on shocks for the readyLIFT kit any good or are there other shocks you recommend?
Shocks are one of those areas that you can spend a lot of money, for just a little bit better. I'm probably just going to go with some bilsteins when needed. I don't know anything about the add on readylift shocks. I'm happy with my stock shocks for now, they only have 17k on them.
Icon or Carli if you want a good ride, either/or would be a good choice..
Shock choice is huge don't expect a good ride out of a low end shock keep that in mind as well..Previous owner put Pro Comp shocks on my truck paired with a Ready Lift....I've posted numerous times how awful the truck handled and how bad it rode..
To answer your question yes Icon is significantly better, you get what you pay for..

We can agree to disagree on that. Maybe the procomps are junk, but spacers lifts Don't hurt your ride at all. I can vouch for that 100%.
I've wanted to lift my truck because i feel like it sits low (18 inch tires) but I didn't occur to me that maybe I should just add a leveling kit and with my new 35 inch tires the truck would look higher. I think that's all i need for my problem
