The 250 TTB wont be a direct bolt in due to leaf spring setup and pivot mounts in different location than the 150 coil setup, the 150 coil TTB actually is pretty much a direct bolt in for the 250 2wd coil twin I Beam. Problem is the 8 lug, doable, but requires non Ford parts.

I did my due diligence and to my surprise, the only way to go full-Ford 8-lug would be to hack the C's off of a donor D50 ttb and weld them to the D44 beams. Certainly not a job you do everyday.
Oh well, start making a list of Chebbie parts . . .
You know, after thinking about it overnight, I think I would find a 4X4 shop that does front axles and have them graft D50 C's onto a set of D44 beams. You'll end up with bigger bearings, bigger brakes, bigger axle stubs and it will be all-Ford.
For that price in labor alone he could coil sprind a D60 and put it in I'll bet.
Here in NorCal, expect to pay $1,500 and up for a thrashed open-knuckle D60 that needs everything. Add $$$ for a coil spring conversion kit for that D60 plus gears, rotors, calipers, bearings, spindles and mebbe manual hubs that aren't rusted solid. That, my friend is mucho dinero.
The only way I have figured out to get a cheap D60 for a SAS is to buy a whole parts truck with a blown motor. Other than that, there are no cheap D60's on the West coast.
I would bet there is some 4X4 fab shop in SoCal or NorCal that could do this ttb fab work for a fair price, knowing they could build fixtures to make modified beams for an audience that would love to keep their Fords all Ford.
Other than that, I don't think I have anything left for this thread.

Damn, when I did the coil sprung D60 swap in the 2wd f250 Bricknose I sold my best friend, he paid $1000 for the coil converted D60 with 4 inch coils and radius arms. And it came with the gear matching Sterling 10.5 with a Lincoln locker lol.
I paid $1000 about 5 yrs ago for a (barely) running worn out 79 F350 4x4 just for the front D60. I was pleased with that deal, all the F350 4x4's for sale I had looked at over the last 15 years (prob 10-12) had somehow lost their frt D60's for transplanted HD 44's. Pretty funny, nearly all sellers acted ignorant of that fact, maybe a few actually were.
