tire size question

i have a 2001 f250 with 235/75/16 stock and was curious if i could run a 265/75/16 on stock setup?

My 2006 and 2011 F350's both had stock 275's, so my guess is they will fit in there fine. I'm no mechanic though......

when i put my trucks vin number into the vin decoder on here it said it came with two options for tire sizes the 265/75/16 and the 235/75/16

I am assuming that you have mis-labeled your current size and that it actually came with 235/85R16 tires. The 265/75R16 size will absolutely fit in the wheel wells, but may not be a great fit for the stock wheels if they are a 6" wide wheel. I am pretty sure that the stock wheels that the 265/75R16 tires came on were 7" wide.

It may be that the 265's were the largest available in that year. Stock tire sizes keep growing.

Go to one of the online tire stores (like tirerack dot com) and key in your vehicle info to seewhat tire size options come up
