Wiper cowl

Wiper cowl on my 2003 Expedition is cracked in one end.

I took it off and glued the crack, so now it looks nice again.

Upon mounting back on the truck, I started wondering if the cowl is supposed to be water tight against the windscreen? There was something that looked like a tiny weatherstrip on the cowl, where it rest against the windscreen, but I doubt it will be water tight.

Does anyone know, perhaps?

Thank you☺️

No, It's not water-tight. There is a cushioning strip where it meets the glass. If you look on ebay you can find some for about $50 per side, or a new set is about $165 from fordparts.com . The only weatherstrip you'll see there is the one where the hood meets that area.

Thank you

Think I will stick with the one I have.

I live in Norway, and a new one will cost me my shirt, and maybe donate one arm also. Used ones are not to be find.
