Getting ready to install my camera and TPMS system on my all fiberglass fifth wheel. Has anyone mounted the TPMS module inside a compartment? Just wondering if it will pick up the sensor signals. Concerned that once I get the wiring pulled from the kingpin through the front cap, I won't be able to remove it to change.

My trailer wheels have the larger hole so the TPMS sensors with the kit won't work. Opposed to changing the stem my Discount Tire suggested using TPMS bands and brackets. Has anyone done this with success?
Also has anyone used the system on Goodyear G114 tires?
Finally got the trailer camera and TPMS working. Discount Tire installed the sensors using bands inside the Goodyear G114 tires. It took several tries but finally got the system to sync up and provide pressure readings.
Does anyone know the parameters the systems uses to alarm and notify you of an issue?

IIRC from one of the various videos posted on the subject, you set the TPMS parameters yourself based on your trailer tires/specs. Is that not the case?

You do set the "Specified PSI" which in my case is 120 cold. In the Texas heat they will rise to 140 when hot. If at 140 and one starts leaking, when will the system alarm? Is it going to wait until below 120?

Sounds like you are all set with the bands, but for future reference If you have the .625" diameter holes on your trailer tires and want to stick with stem-mounted sensors, there are solutions available. Dill Air Controls offers an aluminum clamp-in stem (VS-925) and oversized grommet (RG39) that will work. A small flat has to be filled of one corner of the stem to get them fit the new 2017 sensors, but it works fine.
