This is a street rod, built to drive not sit and look at it, that I helped my aging uncle build. He passed away a while back and we're selling it to settle the estate. It's built on the '36 frame and is titled as a 1936. He had this truck shipped in from Montana and there was very little rust in it. It has a new bed and new bumpers but the rest of the body is original. He had a Bitchin firewall installed and full steel flooring. Interior is all leather with Cadillac El Dorado seats and steering column. The transmission is floor shifted, the comfort controlled by a VintageAir HVAC unit snuggled in the dash. It has power windows and AM/FM tunes. Power is applied to the pavement via 9" Lincoln Versailles disc brake rear end and the wheels are of the same source. It is aimed via a Fatman's Mustang II rack & pinion setup and wears GM calipers and rotors. Cooling is handled easily with a Harrison aluminum radiator. OK, ok, the motor and transmission are from a 1984 50th Anniversary Datsun 300ZX. In spite of all my objections he was set on using this since we'd been saving the new motor/trans for years. Ultimately it was HIS.... that was THAT! It runs beautifully, never laying down a single time and the power is impressive. Exhaust is through a 3" system splitting into duals after the Flowmaster muffler, doesn't sound six-cylinder-ish. An engine swap to your preference wouldnt be difficult but please do not tell me!! A friend and I have 1000 combined hours in the wiring and engine management alone. She's a one-of-a-kind for sure! I have all sorts of build pics and can answer any questions.
