Hope Dar had the best day she could given the circumstances. If you need a hand with anything up this direction, let me know.
Thanks Tom... We may have one more trip up to Zimmerman where Jake lived, but that's a big maybe right now.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with his 08 Dodge Durango SLT with Hemi now... It has 124k on it. Body is in reasonable shape. Picture is of the bad side.
Transmission has a problem where it will only upshift into 3rd gear if you manually shift from 1-2-3. It does not go any higher. If left in Drive, it starts out in 3rd gear and does not shift. Reverse is fine.
Got all kinds of yellow lights on the dash.
I may just let the bank have it back for the 6k he owed on it..

Unfortunately it's probably not worth $6K with a bad transmission, and without a truck it's tough to get it down for you to fix that yourself. Probably best to let the bank repo it.
I imagine the bank can't go after anyone not cosigned on the loan?
I remember Jake seemed to think it was something electronic or a bad solenoid. It started doing it suddenly in the dead cold of winter.
We did not co-sign on the loan, and I don't think any of his friends did.
I will be talking with the bank in the coming week now that I have certified copies of his death certificate...
I don't want or need it - even though we are down to a single daily driver until the plow comes off the Jeep TJ or the F150 comes in..
The F150 is probably a couple months or more from now..
Good evening guys. Another long day of projects. Time is running down to try and get the hundreds of projects done. May have to delay things a couple weeks. We shall see.

Your place wasn't that run down was it? Sounds like the money pit.
If I can get the truck for a couple grand - would that be worth it?
It also seems to have a misfire every now and then. I doubt that the spark plugs were ever changed. It has that cylinder management stuff where it cuts out a couple cylinders or so.
You guys are right that I don't need the hassle right now, but I might take it as a future project to make a little money on.
