SYNC 3 video????

Has anyone tried and/or had any luck getting video to play through SYNC 3? I found a video on YouTube that shows someone mirroring their Android phone through SYNC 3 but I haven't any luck getting it to work.

I haven't really tried. I would assume you need an app that supports CarPlay.

my 2011 could play a movie dvd while sitting in the parking lot waiting for the wife to do groceries, but the 2016 doesn't seem to have that capability.

Really? Cannot play a DVD movie? Wow, that is interesting. Yup...my 2012 with NAV can play DVD movies too. Hmmm...

First you'll need Android Auto App installed on your smartphone. It only works with Android 5.0 Lollipop or later OS.

Do you have the SYNC 3 connected to WiFi? If no, then connect to your home WiFi...and it will automatically update itself...as updates come available.
