I'll start by checking the vacuum lines and check the sensor, I will probably just replace the sensor to be on the safe side. I have a diagnostic check sheet for by the cruise control. Is it recommended to change out the tps and the mlps at a certain milage?
Any updates? I have a 1993 F250 7.5L E40D with the same 1992 ECM and getting a code 31 and 62 with a CEL. Did some troubleshooting and replaced the ECM with a reman unit a year or so ago and the problem went away.
Well a few months ago the truck just started stalling at random times, and the transmission would take forever to shift into second, with a harsh shift. No cel.
I ran the codes anyway and got a 29. Threw a VSS in because the internet said so and the code went away for a few weeks. Now its doing the hard late shifting again and occasionally stalling. Still. No. CEL. But getting codes 29, 31 and 62. I reset the codes, took it for a quick drive, and same codes came up.
Bought an EVP, but the old one tests the same so I'm wary about putting that in.
