I normally hang out 9n the IDI forum. I meet a guy today that lives down from my land. He drives a 74 F100. He is looking for the "Big" steering wheel. He has exhausted local sources . If any has one or knows where to get one please pm me your info and I will get it to him. 9nly try8ng to help another Ford driver

And they aint cheap..... New repros are $250-$300 without the rubber horn pad 
may have your bud watch ebay and such for a decent steering wheel from a parts truck .... and they are frequently not-available from NPD/DC/LMC etc.....

If you're dead-set on a pre78 wheel, be prepared to pay dearly.
However, the post77 wheel will fit, and there's an easy mod to make the turn signal cancel cam work.
The post 77 wheels can be had for under $100 on eBay all day long
