79 tilt in a 77

Hi guys, it's been a quiet winter but it is time to start getting the 77 ready for the summer fun. I have a complete tilt column out of a my 79 here and want to toss it into the 77. It's a direct bolt in I know but the wiring for the NSS and Reverse lights is my issue. I don't want to *******ize the 77 and need to do this as clean and neat as possible. I am planning on adding cruise to the truck but that is another issue but a simple one as I have it all here. I searched the forum and never really seen an answer I was looking for . So somebody out there must have done this that is as equally picky as I am.

Is the 79 tilt column also a cruise column? The NSS are 2 completely different styles from 73-77 and 78-79, so it's not a very popular swap but it is do-able, I've sen it mentioned in these forums but havent seen any build threads on it.

Yes , it has cruise as well, that is the easy part. I can hook up what the NSS and Rev lights by wiring in the 78-79 switch if the selector shaft is cut for the switch. I figure by now someone has done it and made it look right without cutting the crap out of the trucks wiring. The 78-79 wheel is quite a bit smaller and I have a new one here with a new horn/cruise pad I bought for my 79 before I decide to let it go.

I did it and had to change a couple wire locations in the curved plug on the lower column, can't remember which ones but somewhere here there is a write up about it. As for the NSS I went to a floor shifter because the original had the bad habit of dropping into reverse once in a while while running and in park. Took out 100' of fence and almost a neighbours trailer so I figured that was the way to go for me..
