I purchased these items to go in my 1967 f100 with a 352cid. Seems like in the post I've read the big questions center around "the pink wire". I've attached a pic of the wires coming of of my starter and none of them are what I'd call pink. I see one that is solid red (or maybe pink) and I see the one that is green with a definite pink stripe and then maybe a black wire with pink stripe. One of these is the "resistor" wire and needs to be bypassed but which one? There is only one that goes into the distributor, so, if I can get clarification as to which one on the other end to disconnect I think I can do this. Thanks in advance!
The pink wire is connected to the starter switch and goes on to the solenoid. Remember it is only used when the key is set to "Run", it is bypassed during "Start". It's not pink after it goes through the firewall. It's going to have about 1.3 or 1.5 ohms resistance, far more than a regular wire.
The igniter module should be connected to a 12v switched source i.e. run/start. The flame thrower coil has an internal resistance of 1.5 ohms and can run off 12v, but will run cooler and last longer if fed 9v.
I disassembled my ignition switch and ran a new 12 gauge wire, but you can use the original pink wire to trigger a relay to get 12v out to the igniter module.
I know this doesn't address your wire I.D question, but I wanted to express my opinion that you should want both a 12v and a 9v wire coming out of the firewall when using the Pertronix I and 1.5 ohm flamethrower coil.
On my 72, there is a single blue (#932, Throttle solenoid) wire that goes through the firewall with the other 3 wires that plug into engine harness. This wire is connected to switch, at same point as the pink wire, so it is perfect for use with the pertronix module.

Not sure is same for 67.
I had that wire too. But I didn't know where it went.
