Heated mirrors not working after first use

Hello all! I tried searching the forum for this answer before asking, but struck out. Could be that I am new and don't know what I am doing. I have a 2017 F350 CC DRW PSD in Larriat trim and after using the heated mirrors this past weekend they do not come on. At least the indicator lights do not come on in the cab for either mirror after pushing the button like they did the first time. Is there a temperature setting that they would not come on above? I have not checked the fuse yet, but since this is the first time using them and it only have 800 miles I was not expecting that to be an issue. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Unless I'm reading your post wrong, I think your confusing the mirror adjustment buttons with the heated mirrors. The heated mirrors come on automatically with the rear window heater (defroster). There is no button(s) for the heated mirrors.

I think I might be confusing myself. I know it is not the adjustment buttons, but could it be the LED lights on the mirrors? I think it is and feel like a dope.

Hmm, the only LED lights I've ever noticed on the mirrors themselves are for the BLIS system.

Yes Tuba those are the mirror spotlight buttons you are pressing and they will not work if you are driving over 5mph or so. As mentioned, there are no heated mirror buttons.

The mirror buttons near the power window switches have LEDs in them to indicate which mirror you will be adjusting. Those LEDs are not to show heated mirrors are active. Here is an example I took from my truck:

As for the heated mirrors, XLT trucks come standard with heated mirrors but no heated rear window. In this case, the climate control panel would have a stand-alone heated mirror switch. Any XLT which has been optioned with the heated rear glass, or any Lariat + truck, will have heated mirrors that switch on automatically when you turn on the heated rear window switch, as Rodney states.

Further reading makes it sound like you were hitting these buttons?

In that case, the amber "on" indicators will only light up if you are traveling very slowly (although this can be overridden with a simple wiring mod) and the headlights (or at least parking lights) are switched on.

Yes. Those are it. For some reason I was thinking they were the mirror heater buttons, like in my semi. However, I would be interested in being able to have these work while moving. For in field use. Do you have the specs for that or a link?
Thanks!!

Here's a link to the mod on an F-150...should be identical:

There was other info on this mod in our forum as well...somewhere...
