Enclosed trailer

We just decided to purchase an enclosed trailer to keep and transport our Falcon in.
Anyone have one. If so, what do you like and dislike in the one you have?
We have just started looking for one.

Personally I'd rather have a gooseneck or 5th wheel model for anything bigger than a lawn mower or motorcycle, better weight distribution and you can store stuff up in the neck or have a sleeping area.

If we were traveling long distances, I would be looking for a 5th wheel trailer because I have that type of setup on our truck, and they are more stable in the wind, but we are within 5 miles of our local track, and I don't plan on running anywhere else. I have two friends who have enclosed trailers, so I will talk with them tomorrow and see why they chose trailers with a ball hitch instead of a goose neck or 5th wheel setup. Both of them live within 3 miles of the track, but they do travel to Sacramento and Bakersfield. One takes his Bonneville car to the salt flats. They are more serious racers than I am. They both run in the 8's so I hope I will also.
As all of you know, it is more challenging to get an FE in the 8's than a chevy.

Ball hitch trailers are more plentiful and cheaper, they do free up bed space.
Anyone can get a Chubby to go in to 8's, it's a lot more satisfying to get a FE to go there.

I remember back in the 70's when Glidon and Ford fell out, he switched to Mopar for a year till Ford got their act back together.
Someone asked him why he went with Mopar instead of building a Chevy, he said there was no power to be found in a Chevy engine.
I knew he meant the he couldn't get anymore power for one than the other Chevy racers where already getting, but I liked the way he said it.

Yes, my one buddy has a 67 camaro, fiberglass front, doors and trunk lid. 1198 hp on the dyno with a 600 plus ci. big block.
The other guy has also a 68 camaro with a 638 ci chebby big block making 950 hp. He also has a fiberglass front that comes off in one piece, plus doors and trunk lid.
Our Ford is all steel, no fiberglass.
I am not a chebby fan, but do have a Vette, that I had to put a supercharger on it so that it would run like a Ford.

Yes, I bet your Z71 runs great. We were into running the Silver State Challenge top speed runs a few years ago, and we ran our Datsun 240ZV8 that averaged 161 mph for the 90 miles. Our 240Z top speed was 183mph.
I purchased the Vette so I could go 200 mph. A&A Corvette from Oxnard Ca. had a supercharger kit to jack up the hp to 622. With the aerodynamics of the C5 coupe it will just make it to 200 mph. I had it on the dyno a couple of runs, and laid down 527-530hp at the wheels.
We have not run the Vette at the Silverstate, because rules say a full roll cage, and I don't want to put one in the Vette. Here is a picture of our 240Z before the run.

Here is the Vette with the supercharger installed. Notice how low it is. The s/c and intercooler dropped the nose one inch lower.

Still it is not as quick as our old bone stock FE powered Falcon...lol...
