for such a "technical" truck they sure miss some of the features we would want as people who actually will tow with it. Same with the TPMS sensors which may or may not work depending on your tires! Are you kidding me....i really don't want 3 screens including the sync 3.....
The screen to the left is an older Good Sam/Rand McNally 7725, 7-inch screen RV GPS. To the right is an older Doran TPMS for our trailer. The Doran TPMS was purchased in 2011 and was being phased out when we purchased the TPMS unit.
Both units were purchased with our 2009 F450 in mind. The 7-inch screen GPS made it much easier to see the GPS from the driver's seat. With the narrower 2017 Superduty cab, a 5-inch screen is probably a better fit - my opinion.
You probably know this but for those who do not, if you choose to use an add-on TPMS, many current TPMS brands now have sensors that read tire pressure and tire temps & have the ability to change out the sensor's battery. The Doran we have only reads tire pressure. The advantage of the add-on TPMS is that I can move it to the trailer & plug it into a 12-volt socket in the trailer when we're parked. This allows us to read tire pressure or hear a low pressure warning when the trailer is setting in an RV site.
For those reading this who may not be not familiar with the Sync 3 screens, we have the Sync 3 screen set to weather map in the picture.

Reason: Spelling & grammar...always spelling & grammar!
An RV database for the Nav would have been very nice. I have been using the Good Sam Rand McNally for years now. Maybe Ford will come out with a database update that will include the RV data.
I use the voice feature and tell it to "Show Weather Map". I believe you can also find it going to "Apps", "Travel link", "Weather". From that screen, I believe you can select the Weather Map. David

you can also hit the voice button and say "weather"
Use the Nav in the apps, ie on your iPhone run Maps, or if android phone, use an android app, it will go onto your screen, no need to update the Nav in the unit this way. Far less expensive. You still get all the functions, this is the whole reason for Sync 3.
