If the CAFE standards are lowered like I saw some speculate would happen, would there still be a reason to put the 10 speed in? Also, wouldn't the 10 speed make more sense behind the (a?) gas engine, as in a 10r100?

(I'd love to see a more efficient truck, not sure adding gears is a viable solution though Give me an electric motor on each wheel, please. Regenerative braking, traction beyond anything we've seen yet, fewer points of failure, more torque..... too bad it'd also cost twice as much. All that said, I'd spend 60K on that truck, which is 150% what I paid on this one, so come on Ford.)
