215/223 I6 distributor question

I'm putting my engine back together, and I'm wondering if I'm missing a part for the distributor. What I have is the distributor itself (cap, rotor, points, shaft, etc.) and two bolts. The bolts screw into the block, catch the edge of the shaft, and hold the distributor in place. It almost seems like there should be some sort of bracket or something that is secured by the bolts, and it would be the bracket that would catch the edge of the shaft and hold the distributor in place. I don't have a bracket and don't remember taking one off, but my set up just doesn't seem quite right.

Am I missing something or are there just two bolts holding the distributor? Thanks

Here is a picture of my distributor and how it is held in place to the block:

Does this look right or is something missing? Thanks.

Thanks! I have renewed confidence in my organizational skills. My mechanic friend was sure something was missing, and I had lost it. Two washers and I should be good.

Nice engine Indybeer--red looks good. I would never have chosen the Lincoln/Mercury green I am using if it wasn't the color my engine was painted originally.
