Now finding parts

I have the cab all stripped and off for sand blasting. While that is happening I was going through my parts. If someone needs parts from a 1958 long bed 223 4 speed, please PM me as I may have them for you. Not trying to sell, would give if you picked up or can ship.

I however am having trouble tracking down a part. I know they used to make the outer cab corners, but I cannot find one. I only need the drivers side, or one that can be repaired. Mine is simply gone. If anyone can point me in the proper direction, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Well, I checked with them and they stated they do not have them and do not expect to carry them again. That has been the same from all the suppliers that I have called. That has led me to the search to find one that someone has not used, or find one that is restorable with some metal work.

They are no longer being made the company that made the cab corners die stamping machine broke down and is too costly too old to find parts for also new stamping machines are several million dollars not going to happen. A suggestion is contact Cornfield Customs he makes entire fenders, quarter panels door skins etc from a sheet of steel might be a place to start.

I still saw some on ebay a couple months ago. You would think there is enough demand that someone would start making them again, but I thought the same about reman water pumps for our pickup/truck Y blocks and try to find one of those.

Yea, I have been searching ebay, but I only see the inner ones. I am hoping that someone has one on a shelf that I can buy or even one that needs some repair. Being in the Midwest, I am not finding any in local junk yards, as they are gone as well.

Look in the marketplace for "parting out a 58 f100" he goes by Sawmaned, He cut and
sold me the dash section I needed at a very fair price. If you can't find one go to youtube
and look up flow/hammer forming sheet metal and make your own

Cab corners are the same: 1957/60 F100/1100 because the cab is the same.

If you watch ebay, you will find guys parting out these trucks. They probably won't have the cab corners listed but they do list things like doors and fenders and in the pictures they are often still on the truck. Also the guys who just list one small insignificant part and a phone number in the description, which I personally find a little lame.
