Had a 2:30 am thunderstorm that dropped quarter to golf ball sized hail for a couple minutes (felt like a hour). Absolutely no damage or dents to the 17 F350!
Lots of damage to other vehicles and adjacent homes in the area. Very impressed with integrity of the aluminum to withstand the pounding it took.
Many thanks to Ford for the engineering and build quality of this machine! It felt great to show the neighbor my truck with no denting vs his Tacoma that had a hood that was dimpled and pock marked! Will try to post some pics if he will let me take some shots of his truck LOL.

That's impressive. Be sure to take some pics. Maybe a side-by-side with another truck that was damaged.

This is NOT what i needed to hear...literally the only reason i am not lifting and going 37's (no lift and 35's)...i won't fit in the garage anymore! This is really terrific to hear...would very much like to see some pics! Also...do you have the panoramic moonroof?? This worries me as well. Thanks!
I was also worried a few weeks back when we had a line of storms with hail come through. I was about to head to the carwash to park there. I was about to leave as it came down pouring rain and hail. I was cringing watching the hail bounce off my truck. I have seen hail ruin airplanes many times and thats all I saw happening. To my surprise not one darn ding. I was very relieved. So Fords claim to be more dent resistant has proven true so far for me.
Oct 2 2016. Picking my wife up from the Sacramento airport when we encountered a sudden hail storm. Traveling in Roseville south on Hwy 65 entering Hwy 80 eastbound. No damage to the truck.
All new hail. It came on suddenly and took maybe 2 miles to drive out of. It was so loud we had to shout to hear one another. I thought for sure when we got home we would have body damage but there was none.

We were in Camping World in Roseville during that hail storm. We didn't look outside so we no ideal how big the hail was. When we left the store the sides of the freeway looked like it had snowed.
Now that I know how big the hail was I am thankful my car wasn't dented.

Quarter or Golf ball size hail would have destroyed your truck. I purchased my wife a new Expedition in 2010 (Aluminum hood) and we had a hail storm with quarter & golf ball size hail two month after we purchased it. It did several thousand dollars worth of damage. The hood was dented as bad as the rest of the body panels.
Well found out last night these trucks are no more or less damaged by hail than any others. Mine got destroyed last night. Will have pics of truck this evening.
