That's weird
I went to put a 2x12 into the truck bed as a divider. There are indentations in the bed sides to accommodate this. I had it in my 2011, but I needed to cut almost 2 1/2" inches out of the length to fit the 2017. So the same configured truck CC LWB truck has less distance between the bed sides. I realize this is just inside the bed and not necessarily the overall width of the truck. I just thought is was weird enough to mention. No biggie.

To me, the 8 foot is a bed, and the 6'9" is a hat shelf. I only use a truck for trucky things, not because I like driving it or it makes me look rugged. I like putting dirt bikes or ATV's in the bed and shutting the tail gate. Extra wheel base tows nicer also.
