Maybe I have had one beer too many, but an I missing something? Are you aski by how to tie something into the bed of your truck? I hope not but you never know, or are you asking how to remove the cleats? And for that, you use your ignition key.

Mine came with different keys, not the ignition key

I saw that in the F-150 when I ordered mine, I'm glad the salesman miss that and when the truck came they sent it to a shop that does it for them, they removed all the hardware and spray it behind everything, even trailer plug in bed
Box link is what it's called. Wait a while and after market shops will start making cool stuff for them like coffee cup holders, toilet seats, and fans that spin in the wind. Maybe some bull *****.
Thanks, that's what I was looking for.
I know how to tie stuff down, I didn't know people stole cleats from truck bed's. Probably a big money item on the black market if its a matching set of four.
And now I know, thanks again for the link.
Yeah, unfortunately the Ford factory bed liner does not remove the box links and then spray...they just tape them off and spray around them. While it doesn't look at nice, it certainly doesn't affect bed protection.
For being patented and having a fancy name, I don't find these to be that special other than having another place to tie down to in the bed.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but didn't the previous-gen trucks (2011-2016) have 6 tie-downs in the bed if you bought the long bed? Not counting the box-links, my 2017 long bed has 4 tie downs.
Part of why the Box Links aren't that great is because they are up so high on the bed wall. Much of what I tie down needs to be held down low in the bed, so the regular tie-downs are used...
Yeah, I saw that too. But in my opinion, the Box Links don't seem terribly strong. When some of these beds are rated for over 5,000lbs capacity...you'd think the hooks and tie downs would all be strong enough to handle securing that kind of load.
