Rough Idle Problem
I have a 1991 F-150 5.8 4x4. It had a check engine light with the code 332. I checked the EVP sensor with a multimeter and it tested out ok. I then checked my EGR valve and it would not hold vacuum. After replacing the EGR, the check engine light went away but I have a rough idle. If I unhook the vacuum line going to the new EGR, the idle will smooth out almost instantly. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check the EVR. It may be pulling pulling vacuum for the EGR valve when it's not supposed to.
Could also be the new EGR valve. I've had terrible luck with "New" EGR valves from the part store.
Only a Motorcraft EGR valve solved my problems.
